The 36th Annual Great Clermont Triathlon at the World Triathlon Destination, Clermont, FL. The GCT features a 1.5K Swim, 40K Bike and a 10K Run with individual, relay team, and aqua bike competition.

When: Saturday, March 16, 2019

Start Time: 8:00AM 

Race Venue: Clermont's Victory Pointe, 938 Victory Way, Clermont, FL - "World Triathlon Destination" 

Directions: Clermont is located 20 minutes west of Orlando at the intersection of US HWY 27 and State Road 50. From State Road 50 in Clermont, take East Avenue north one mile to Palm Avenue and the entrance to Waterfront Park. Waterfront Park is on the southern shores of Lake Minneola. 

International Distance Triathlon: 1.5K Swim, 40K Bike, 10K Run
International Distance Aqua Bike: 1.5K Swim, 40K Bike.
International Distance Duathlon: 5K Run, 40K Bike, 10K Run.

NOTE: For 2019, the Great Clermont Triathlon will be held on the same date as the Florida Challenge Triathlon Click here for info on Saturday's Florida Challenge - Intimidator 70.3 Distance and Sprint Distance triathlons.


SWIM - The 1500 meter swim course is a triangular shaped course in Lake Minneola. Swimmers will swim counter-clockwise, keeping all buoys on their left. Swimmers will complete one lap of the course. The projected water temperature is expected to be 68-78.  Wetsuit use is in accordance with USAT rules. 

BIKE - The 42K (26.5 miles) bike course starts by traveling clockwise around Lake Minneola, before heading out towards Montverde/Ferndale. This portion of the course has a few small hills, but does not travel up Sugarloaf Mountain. 

RUN - The 10K run course is an out and back loop course on the South Lake Trail.

Amenities: Finisher medal, colorful event shirt, accurately measured and well monitored course. Post race food tent. Registering by March 10th ensures proper t-shirt size.

Awards: Individual Triathlon - Top three overall, top masters, and the top three in each division, male and female.
Relay Teams - Top three teams in each of the following categories: All Male, All Female, and Mixed
Aqua Bike/Du - Top three finishers overall, male and female.
Open Water Swim - No Awards
