FINISH: Green Mountain Scenic Overlook, 20700 County Road 455, Minneola, FL 34715
COURSE: The course is a point to point, 30K, 18.6 mile run along the Lake Apopka Loop Trail. The run starts at Magnolia Park in Apopka and finishes at the Green Mountain Scenic Overlook in Montverde. The majority of the trail is packed lime rock or clay. Preliminary Course Map.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to individuals and four person relay teams. Minimum age to run as an individual is 16. The minimum age requirement for relay team segments is 8.
CUT-OFF TIME: The course closes at 1:30pm. All participants must be able maintain a 17:30 minute pacer per mile or faster in order to meet this cutoff time.
REGISTRATION: Registration is open to individuals, four person Relay Teams, and four person Corporate Relay Teams.

AMENITIES: Each participant will receive a long sleeve technical T-shirt and other goodies. All finishers will receive a cool custom finisher medal. Of course you'll receive all the other great amenities that you expect from a Sommer Sports event including a well marked and safe course, quality results, and great post event food.
AWARDS: Custom awards will be presented to the top three overall individual finishers, top masters finisher, and the top three finishers in each five year age group, male and female. RELAY TEAMS - Awards will be presented to the top three relay teams in each of the following divisions: Male, Female and Mixed. CORPORATE TEAMS - Awards will be presented to the top five corporate teams.
EVENT SUPPORT: The Lake Apopka Scenic Trail 30K is a fully supported event. Hydration and refueling stations will be located approximately every 2 miles along the course. Roving medical personnel will travel the course from start to finish.
RELAY TEAMS: In the relay team division, four person teams will compete in either all male, all female, or mixed team categories. The first runner will run 4.2 miles, the second runner 7.3 miles, the third runner 4.2 miles, and the fourth runner 2.9 miles. Please note that all distances are approximate. Shuttle service will be provided and will shuttle relay participants out to each exchange zone. The return shuttle from exchange point one will bring runners back to the start. Return shuttles from Exchange #2 and #3 will bring runners to the finish. Parking is also available at exchanges 2 & 3. More details on the relay shuttle service will be available this fall.
CORPORATE TEAMS: In the Corporate Relay Team division, four person teams will compete against each other for the soon to coveted "L.A.S.T. 30K Gator Cup". Corporate teams will receive VIP treatment and $350 of each team entry will go directly to the Friends of the Green Mountain Scenic Byway (FGMSB) is a 501(C) 3 nonprofit organization.
PARKING: Parking will be available at the race start and also in close proximity to the finish. There will be no athlete/spectator parking available at the Green Mountain Scenic Overlook, however we have secured parking a short distance away. Free shuttles will run continuously to and from the Scenic Overlook to the finish line parking area. More detailed parking and shuttle information will be posted closer to the race date.
EVENT SHUTTLES: Free shuttle service will be provided to and from the start/finish. More details will be forthcoming.
