The Great Floridian Aqua Velo is a swim-bike event that takes place in conjunction with the Great Floridian Triathlon.  Participants will swim 2.4 miles followed by a 112 mile bike race.  The Aqua Velo is a great training event for one of the November Ironman Triathlons.  The run segment typically is the one event in a triathlon that has a tendency to wear you down.  By just swimming and biking your recovery period is much quicker.  The aqua Velo is also a great race for athletes who may have a running injury or are not quite ready to run a marathon.
